Cissie – in my opinion they can be taken in any order, but if you feel you would like to brush up on your drawing skills, then it is probably better to take Drawing for the Sketchbook and Journal first. You will then feel a little more comfortable with the journaling assignments in the other workshop.

I am Jess’s niece. But before you make ANY assumptions, PLEASE just hear me out: I have taken her Drawing 101 Class as well as her Love This Journal workshop. She got me to start journaling almost 2 years ago, and I have just completed my 6th art journal! Not only have I found out so much more about myself through her workshops, but I also found that her teaching methods are fun, simple, and easy, yet they teach you SOO much! And did I mention it’s fun?!! I highly recommend any and all her workshops!!!

I have amazed myself under Jessica’s tutelage here. I don’t think of my self as one who can draw, although I do lots of other artsy stuff, and I look at the pages I’ve done here and they look like what they’re supposed to be and that is a HUGE thrill for me! I love that she approaches the learning from many different points and learning styles, and that there is no pressure but lots of encouragement. I’m anxiously waiting for the next section!

This class was really an inspiration and totally exceeded my expectations! I will readily admit that I cannot draw, but I learned so much not only from Jessica’s easy teaching style, but from others in the class. I NEVER thought I would EVER share any of my items, but lo and behold I did! I was so inspired that I ended up signing up for Jessica’s online drawing class–a major feat for me!!!

This was the third workshop I’ve taken with Jessica. She gives good clear instructions and constructive support.
I was away on business for most of this class and was able to do almost all the exercises with the supplies I took with me. A truly portable pastime.
